Don't wanna sound unpatriotic, but . . .

While I heartily rejoice at the news that osama bin laden is gone, silenced forever, and removed from this world, I find myself merely groaning at the thought of the onslaught of press that this event will conjure. Why should we give that asshole any more notoriety than he has already garnered for himself. Ding, dong, the bastard is dead. 'Nuff said, could we puleeeease find something else to report on and not talk about him anymore!

At least this story has crowded out the royal family and sent them to the back page so we don't have to hear about them anymore. Move on, for God's sake! I get so disgusted with the press for the way they take a story and beat it to death. They're married, he's dead, I get it. So what else is new? How about stories of our American heroes filling the Yahoo front page? Or how about shedding light on the current bills being proposed in Washington and explaining in plain language what they mean. Of course that would be waaaay too boring and not sell much soap. Here's a unique idea . . . why doesn't some bright and ambitious investigative reporter do an expose' on corruption in Washington DC? Yeah, well, don't look for that one anytime soon either. I just think that politicians and the media are all in bed together so who knows what we can believe anymore? Just one jaded old lady's perspective. Just sayin . . . . . . .
